The Handbook.
Everything in SUNNYVAiLE, explained once, properly. What every building does, how every reward works, what to do on a Wednesday, and how your Resident Card comes together. If a page in town ever confuses you, the answer is in here.
1 · Getting started
SUNNYVAiLE is a fictional town where women learn AI through the pop culture they already love. Every building teaches something. Every visit earns something. You don't need an account to walk around — but residency is free, and residents get a card, a Closet, and a growing pile of collectibles.
Your first fifteen minutes:
- Start at the Visitor's Centre — grab the map, meet the buildings.
- Walk into MAiKEOVER — the beauty parlor where new residents are made. Sign up with your email (we send a magic link — no passwords in this town), design your card, claim your @handle.
- Read this week's episode at Chick Flicks — that's the show. New release every Wednesday.
- Wander. The rest of the Handbook covers everything you'll find.
2 · Your Resident Card
Your card is your yearbook page — who you are in town, in eight lines. It lives in your Closet at Delta LAi Nu (the sorority house), and if your Closet is set to public, anyone with your handle can see it at laidies.ai/@yourhandle.
The eight fields — and where in town each one gets set:
- Handle
- Claimed at MAiKEOVER. Lowercase letters, numbers, underscores. Once it's yours, it's yours.
- SAiNT
- Your favourite PATRON SAiNT — pick her at the LUMINAiRY.
- Episode
- Your favourite episode — pick it off the shelf at Chick Flicks.
- Storefront
- Your favourite building in town. Declare your local.
- Activity
- Your favourite thing to do here — the reading, the quiz, the dares, the hunt. Your call.
- Character
- Your favourite Town Character — meet all four at Town Hall.
- Cocktail
- Your drink of the week — order it at the BRONZE AiGE.
- Quote
- The line you live by. From an episode, a saint, or your own head.
That's the rule of the town: every customization is a trip. You don't fill in your card from a settings page — you walk to the building that owns that thing and pick it up there. Every building earns its function.
Your avatar (the object on your card's photo spot) comes from PIECES OF FLAiR at the Mall — twenty Y2K objects, tap Wear this → on the one that's you. Your card backdrop comes from the postcard rack (scenes of town, more unlock as you send postcards to friends).

4 · Activities & games
Girl Talk — the dare game
At Delta LAi Nu
- How
- Draw a card. Every dare is a small, real AI thing to try this week — on-site dares check themselves off; out-in-the-world dares run on the honor system, which has held so far.
- Teaches
- Doing beats reading. Every dare is one rep.
- Pays
- Dare stickers for your Closet, and a story for the Dare Reports room.
The Charm Hunt
All over town
- How
- Seven charms hide in the town's building images every week — watch for the glint. Click the sparkle, keep the charm. The homepage tracks your 0/7.
- Teaches
- Attention. The town rewards people who actually look at it.
- Pays
- Charms snap onto your week's charm bracelet in the Closet. Finish a week, the bracelet fills. Old bracelets retire to the Jewelry Box.
Trading Cards
Packs at Blend & Snap · binder in your Closet
- How
- Two decks. Concept cards drop weekly with the Study Pack — one AI idea per card. Character cards collect the pantheon: SAiNTS, MAiVENS, TRAiLBLAZERS, Town Characters. Both tradable.
- Teaches
- Concepts in flippable form. If you can explain the card, you own the idea.
- Pays
- The binder itself — plus the Holo Foundress card if you know what you're doing.
The Pop Quiz
At SUNNYVAiLE High
- How
- Read the episode, take the test. A handful of questions, all fair, none trick.
- Teaches
- Whether it stuck. (It usually stuck.)
- Pays
- Merit badges and the smug feeling of a clean score.
The Scholastic Book Fair
SUNNYVAiLE High gym · every 4 weeks · 7 days only
- How
- The Fair rolls in with a themed catalog of exclusive puffy stickers and posters. Show up during Fair week and you get a free bookmark puffy just for walking in. Come back daily — each visit unlocks another pick from the themed pack. A couple of rare items hide behind small feats (ace the quiz, finish your dares).
- Teaches
- Nothing. It's the Book Fair. It teaches joy.
- Pays
- Fair-exclusive puffies and posters. When the Fair leaves, that batch leaves with it.
Puffy Stickers
Collect around town · place anywhere
- How
- Puffies are chunky 3D stickers you place on things you want to come back to — a study guide, a prompting section, a saint's rule, a whole page. Each placement saves the spot to your Closet's Puffy Board; click it later and you're right back where you left it.
- Teaches
- Your own taxonomy. Use butterflies for prompting notes and hearts for cocktails, or any system you invent — the shapes mean what you decide they mean.
- Pays
- A Puffy Board that ends up being a map of what you actually care about.
5 · The weekly rhythm
The town runs on Wednesdays. Every Wednesday a new episode releases at Chick Flicks, the Wednesday Anthem changes on KSVL, a fresh Study Pack lands at Blend & Snap, and seven new charms hide themselves around town.
The two tours
Do as few or as many activities as you want — these are just the routes we recommend to help make it stick.
- Express
- Short on time? Four stops: episode, Study Pack, Pop Quiz, and this week's song. In and out — and it still counts: you bank a Caught Up sticker + a butterfly clip.
- Full ritual
- The whole lap: episode at Chick Flicks → coffee + Study Pack at Blend & Snap → Pop Quiz at the High → a game or a reading → happy hour at the BRONZE AiGE → debrief at Delta LAi Nu. Do the whole eight before Wednesday and the FAiRY Godmother owes you an extra wish (plus the seven charms, if you're looking).
Check in on the homepage each Wednesday to log your week. Miss one? Nothing breaks. The town keeps your streaks generous and your guilt at zero — and if you're gone a while, Travis has an award waiting when you get back.
↑ Back to contents6 · Rewards — what you can earn
Five kinds of things end up in your Closet, and they're not interchangeable:
- Cards
- Trading cards — knowledge you can flip. Concept packs weekly at Blend & Snap; Character cards from the pantheon. Tradable, foil and holo included.
- Charms
- Enamel charms — the weekly hunt. Seven hide in town images each week; found charms snap onto that week's bracelet.
- Stickers
- Vinyl stickers — taste declarations. The KSVL rack (three free on your first visit, the rest earned by listening) plus Dare stickers from Girl Talk.
- Puffies
- Puffy stickers — saved places. Place them on anything worth coming back to; your Puffy Board remembers.
- Badges
- Merit badges — proof of feats. Hotline Regular, the 867 Club, quiz streaks, the Tardy Award (earned, somehow, by leaving and coming back).
7 · The community rooms
All of it lives at Delta LAi Nu, behind the card-required door:
- Girl Talk
- The dare game. Bring Gossip, leave with a dare.
- Dare Reports
- Post what happened when you actually did it. The best room in the house.
- Ask the Room
- Your question, everyone's answers.
- Wins
- Brag here. That's the room's entire function and it is thriving.
- Burn Book
- Community dish. What the town is really saying.
- The Closet
- Your locker — card, collections, bracelet, binder, boards. Yours.
And the Post Office handles the outward-facing side: send a postcard to invite a friend to town. When she moves in, you both collect on it.
↑ Back to contents8 · Residency
Residency is free, and free gets you the whole town: the card, the Closet, every game, every reward, every room. Somewhere down the road there will be things worth paying for — burning the Mix CDs to keep, real posters, physical stickers, a Book Fair you can hold. When that day comes, nothing that's free today goes behind a counter. The town doesn't work that way.
